The Trustees of ReservationsThe Old Manse is a property of the Trustees of Reservations. Founded in 1891, The Trustees of Reservations is a member-supported, non-profit conservation organization which preserves, for public use and enjoyment, over 20,000 acres of land across Massachusetts of exceptional scenic, historic, and ecological value, including mountains and hilltops; forests and woodlands; river valleys and waterfalls; island, coastlines, and barrier beaches; marshes, bogs, and swamps; open fields and meadows; farms, historic houses, designed landscapes, and gardens. It also protect nearly 11,000 additional acres through conservation restrictions on 160 parcels of privately held land.
