By simply clicking the start button on the MicroLog, it will store data from an internal temperature and humidity sensor automatically.
There are some simple steps to follow. Please refer to Connecting to the MicroLog below for detailed instructions. First, you will need to load and open the MicroLog software on the computer. Next, you will need to program the data logger rate of collection. Finally, you will need to start the data logger. Following data collection, the data will be transferred to your computer and automatically open an AppleWorks or Excel spreadsheet. This software is available for both platforms. The AppleWorks or Excel spreadsheet will be used to display and analyze the data from the MicroLog.
Connecting to the MicroLog
- Each kit contains both MAC and Windows software on a CD ROM. Load the software on your computer according to the instructions.
- Connect the MicroLog to the computer by attaching the computer communication cable.
- To program your MicroLog to collect the data you will need to open the MicroLog software on your computer. Select the no sensor option. Select the rate of one measurement per minute. Click on the Setup button. The program will save the setup on exit.
- Disconnect the cable connecting the MicroLog to the computer.
- It would be helpful for you to review commands on the MicroLog display.
- If you would like to see a realtime graph while collecting data, keep the MicroLog connected to the computer while collecting your data. Since no external sensor is needed, simply slip the MicroLog into the cradle.
