CCA2D2 Serial Communications
Both versions of the CCA2D2 interface communicate using the following serial
parameters:
bps 9600
|
1 stop
|
no parity
|
no software (XON/XOFF) or hardware handshaking
|
You can test the interface and the serial cables by starting a serial communications
program and opening a connection with the parameters above. After opening
the connection if everything is working you should see the following response
from the interface:
CCA2D2v80C 10/01 WCL
What you see displayed above is interface type, CCA2D2; version of the software,
80C; date, October 1; and the initials of the author Walter Lenk.
The protocol for the interface operates in either command or data mode. The
following abbreviated lists of commands for both interfaces should helpd
with testing.
