I found this object on the beach at Gay Head, Martha's Vineyard. It is about 9" long and 4" thick. Some people have suggested it may be part of a warhead. Aproximately 5 miles to the south of Gay Head is an island the military has been using for bombing practice for many years.
I don't think it is part of a warhead because of the appearance of a concrete-like agregate around the middle of the object. The green quartz-like substance ground into a cone-shape on the right also seems quite unusual for a warhead (my actual experience with warheads is non-existant however). It does not appear to be radioactive.
Another person has suggested it is the remains of a very fancy fencepost. It seems to make some people nervous.
