A. Building a Global Community

Overview: Students are introduced to the Global Lab project and, in turn, introduce themselves to the larger community. They learn about the key pillars of the project: motivating investigative questions, local and international objects of study, tools and methodologies, and a community with whom to share findings.

B. Where in the World are We?

Overview: Students consider the importance of location. Looking at a globe, they identify the latitude and longitude lines and place their school on geographical coordinates. They locate other collaborating schools and consider the implications of location.
